Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) Home Charge Point Grant 2015/16
The Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) currently operate a 'Home Charge Scheme' which provides a grant up to 75% towards the cost of one charge point and its installation up to a maximum of £500 (including VAT) per household/eligible vehicle.
Residents must provide evidence of being the registered keeper or lessee or be named as the primary user of an eligible plug-in vehicle in order to be able to qualify for the grant.
The grant must only be claimed on behalf of the EV Owner by installers which have been authorised by OLEV. Unauthorised installers cannot claim the grant.
The majority of new EV drivers in Northern Ireland can arrange installation through the various car dealers at the point of purchase or lease. The majority of EV dealers in Northern Ireland have arrangements with accredited installers in place to allow EV drivers to access a grant for the installation of home charge points.
