How to Report Out of Service Charge Points - REVISED GUIDANCE



To ensure that the charge point infrastructure is always working we need the ecar community to assist us by reporting any out of service charge points.

On discovering that a charge point is not working, the driver should contact Abtran Customer Services immediately on - 0845 601 8303. Remember to note the reference number which is located on the charge point, these always begin with either ‘SC’ or ‘RC’.

Whilst it is useful for EV drivers to email DRD, or use social media to track charge point faults, the mechanism by which repairs are generated is through the Abtran Customer Service number. This ensures that any faults are passed on to the appropiate engineers. Abtran can also repair certain faults remotely over the phone, such as re-booting and releasing a cable.
